Sabine Vogel


Born 1955 in Germany, Dr. of arthistory in 1981
since October 1997 program-coordinator at the House of World Cultures in
Berlin, where I am responsible of organizing shows like "Afroamerican
Altars", "Contemporary Korean Art", "Contemporary Brasilian Art" in 1998.
Research at the Dakar Biennale 1998, Research in Tokyo and Kyoto for a
japanes show in 1999
1997 Concept and realisation of the Symposium on "The other Modernisms" in
the House of World Cultures
1996 Curator and Organisator of the show "Colours - contemporary art from

Guldana Sapfarova

Was born in 1965 in Almaty. In 1987 she graduated from philological faculty of Karaganda State University. In 1999 she graduated from High School of Art History, in Moscow. From 1990 she works in Karaganda’ Museum of Art. From 2000 - deputy director of Karaganda’ Museum of Art. She is an organiser and participant of exhibitions, among which - Kazakhstani-American exhibition “Bridge” (Karaganda, 1997), Exhibition of Karaganda’ Museum of Art “Colour of time” (Almaty, 1997), 2 exhibitions of Deihch artists in Deihch House (Almaty, 1997), “Line of Beauty” - exhibition in the swimming pool (Almaty, Moscow “ART MANEGE’99”, 1999). She is an Art historian, art manager, curator. She lives in Karaganda.

 

Margarita Solovieva

Was born in 1949 in Almaty. In 1974 she graduated from All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. She is Magister of Art History, a member of the Cinematography Union of USSR. She is an author of more then 20 movies. Margarita worked on a few Cinema Studios. She has been a teacher of the History and Theory of Cinema. She lives in Almaty.

 

Ruphina Kantomirova [email protected]

Was born in 1965. In 1991 she graduated from the Almaty State Institute of Theatre and Art. From 1997 she works on Almaty’ Radio Stations “Caravan”, “31 channel” as a DJ and journalist. Museum of Art. From 1997 Ruphina has been participating in exhibitions, among which - “Art discourse’97” (Almaty, 1997), “Patriotic Project Kazakhstan 2030” (“KOK SEREK” Gallery, Almaty, 1998), “Street Art” (“KOK SEREK” Gallery, Almaty, 1998), “Line of Beauty” - exhibition in the swimming pool (Almaty, Moscow “ART MANEGE’99”, 1999), “Party Aina Line” (Almaty,1999). She is DJ, singer. She lives in Almaty.

Vsevolod Demidov

Was born in 1964 in Baku. From 1968 he is living in Almaty. From 1981 to 1983 he studied in Riga’s Institute of Avia engineers. In 1993 he graduated from the Graphic Art faculty of Kazakh Pedagogical State University. From 1997 he use to be a designer, a Member of Designer Union of Kazakhstan. Seva has been participating in exhibitions since 1992, among which - “A Trip of Sunny Boat”(Almaty,1998), Personal Exhibition (“Voyager” Gallery, Almaty,1999), “Past is out here...” (“Voyager” Gallery, Almaty, 2000). He is a painter, designer. He lives in Almaty.

 

Olga Zorina

Was born in 1969. In 1991 she graduated from philological faculty of Shimkent State University. Since 1993 she has been an organiser of exhibitions, among which - First Gallery for Contemporary Art (Shimkent, 1993-94), “Elf” (Shimkent, 1999), Creative meetings with artists (Shimkent, 1993-2000). She is a journalist, art manager, curator. She lives in Shimkent.

Rustam Khalfin

Was born in 1946 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) In 1972 he graduated from the City-building faculty of Moscow Architectural Institute. Since 1978 has been taking part in classes and exhibition by the Sterligov group (St. Petersburg). He is a participant in more than forty exhibitions, among wich: - " Personnel painting exhibiton" (St. Petersburg, 1985), " Hand and Eye" ( Moscow, 1994) and "Gallery Parade" (Almaty, 1996, 1997, 1998). Rustam is a curator, painter and author of objects, installations and performances. He lives in Almaty.

Vadim Dergachev

Was born in 1969 in Almaty. He studied for four years in the KazakhState Pedagogical Institute (Philology faculty). He is a poet and journalist. He took part in a gallery exhibition "Asia Art" and "Gallery Parade" (1998). He is also the author of the poetic performance "Love is impossible" (1999, gallery "Kokserek"). Vadim lives in Almaty.

Yulia Sorokina

Was born in 1965 Shushinsk (Kazakhsatn). In the 1987 she graduated from the Graphic Art faculty of kazakh Abay Pedagogical Institute. In 1992 Yulia completed courses in cinema science at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (Moscow). Currently she is a curator of the "Asia Art" gallery.Yulia has been participating in exhibitions since 1987 and among them are: - " Zhiger" (Almaty, 1987), "Group Art" (Almaty, 1990, 1991) "Perekrestok" (Almaty, 1989) and "Gallery Parade" (Almaty, 1997, 1998). She lives in Almaty.
